What ShieldScope is

ShieldScope is a set of security analysis tools. Most tools examine publicly available information — HTTP headers, DNS records, TLS certificates, subdomain data from certificate transparency logs. The /sandbox tool performs static inspection of script, URL, and email content you submit directly. All tools are read-only. Nothing you analyze is modified, accessed, or exploited.

Acceptable use

You may use ShieldScope to analyze:

  • Domains, URLs, and infrastructure you own
  • Domains, URLs, and infrastructure you have explicit written authorization to test
  • Publicly known domains as part of legitimate security research, education, or due diligence
  • Script, URL, and email artifacts you have legal right to inspect

ShieldScope is a passive analysis platform. All analysis is based on public data. Nonetheless, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and any relevant agreements governing the systems you analyze.

Prohibited use

You may not use ShieldScope to:

  • Support unauthorized access to systems you do not own or have no permission to test
  • Facilitate attacks, credential stuffing, or any active exploitation of discovered information
  • Automate high-volume requests that place unreasonable load on ShieldScope's infrastructure
  • Scrape, harvest, or resell ShieldScope's analysis output in a way that competes with or misrepresents the service
  • Use the service in violation of any applicable law or regulation

No warranties

ShieldScope is provided as-is. Analysis results are based on passive observation of public data and are subject to the limitations of that data — including incomplete subdomain coverage, CT log latency, and service fingerprinting confidence ranges. Results are informational only and should not be relied upon as a complete security assessment.

ShieldScope makes no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or completeness. We are not liable for decisions made based on ShieldScope's output.

The tools are free

All ShieldScope tools are currently free to use with no account required. We reserve the right to introduce rate limits or paid tiers in the future, and will provide notice before doing so.

Responsible disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability in ShieldScope itself, please report it via the contact form rather than disclosing it publicly. We will respond promptly and acknowledge responsible reporters.
